The family of five trumpeter swans that have been associated with McFadden and Cabell this winter were on Cabell yesterday - if you go to see the TRSW be patient - they can be very cryptic. Strong bird magic to make such massive brilliant white bodies disappear. While waiting for the swan appearance a large swarm of low-flying tree and violet-green swallows searched the cold air over Cabell.

Greater scaup pairs were on the display pond across from the entry to the Cabell boardwalk and on the pond below the Ray Bentley Memorial pullout, Could have been the same pair.
