I missed this one in the Saturday digest ... from continuing reports on eBird, it looks like the bird is still being seen in the same location.

>From the trailhead parking area for the Rich Guadagno Memorial Trail, go south about 250 yards to where Coville Rd. turns west. A gated refuge road continues south from Coville Rd. (toward the refuge headquarters, across the slough). The sparrow has been seen 30 to 40 yards out along this road. Please note that the road beyond the gate is closed to visitors during the "goose closure" season, but it should be possible to view the sparrow flock with binoculars from outside the gate.

Today's eBird rarity alerts for Polk County also include a heard-only report of a Lapland Longspur along Livermore Rd. north of the refuge. -- joel

Jenna, Suzanne, Betty, and I found an immature Harris’s Sparrow with a
large flock of Golden-crowned Sparrows today at 12:05. Also an Intergrade
Northern Flicker at that location.

Coordinates: 44.9593, 123.2578
