We've been feeding whole peanuts to Jays, purely for the entertainment
value, for a couple of years and have had surprisingly few other birds
include the peanuts in their foraging.
Away from the yard, Towhees were the first non-Jays to take interest,
then Song Sparrows. Most lately, now, backyard Chestnut-backed
Chickadees have gotten into the act.
I wonder who's next?
