Hello,

At the office (SW Corvallis) there was a Red-breasted Sapsucker banging on
a small metal sign on a utility pole at the corner of the parking lot. On
Wednesday, I heard another sapsucker banging on something metal, nearby at
Sage Community Garden at Bruce Starker Arts Park. Spring is on its way.

The duck pond at Bruce Starker Arts Park continues to have mergansers
visiting. On Tuesday morning, there were two male Common Mergansers and a
male and female Hooded Merganser. The Hoodies are there most mornings but
are often gone by late afternoon. There's usually a male American x
Eurasian Wigeon hybrid among the 20-30 American Wigeons. Sometimes the
wigeons and Hooded Mergansers are at the beaver pond at the nearby Sunset
Park.
