I checked the Sheridan sewage pond again this afternoon during a window
in the rain. I made my observation from the on-ramp to the highway,
west of the ponds.

The population of waterfowl had changed a little from what I saw on Oct.
13 & 17. A couple good year birds.

     1 Great Blue Heron
     1 WESTERN GREBE
   10 Canada Geese
   25 Cackling Geese
    3 Wood Duck
   15 American Wigeon
   25 Mallard
  200 Northern Shoveler
     4 Green-winged Teal
     1 Canvasback male
3 REDHEADS (hard to find in Yamhill county!)
   35 Ring-necked Duck
    15 Lesser Scaup
2 GREATER SCAUP (I find a couple annually)
     2 SURF SCOTER (females again)
     9 Hooded Merganser
   100 Ruddy Duck
   200 American Coot
      6 Killdeer
      3 Greater Yellowlegs
      1 Kingfisher
     6 Red-winged Blackbird
     2 Robins

Good birding, everyone,
Paul Sullivan
