> Hi All,
> One think I forgot to mention from today's jaunt was that while I was standing on the bridge over the Luckiamute River near the L Landing, I saw a kingfisher fly out from under the bridge with a crawdad in his bill. I have heard that they are part of the kingfisher's diet. It flew around a corner and into and side eddy of the river. However, about 20 seconds later it returned without the crawdad, flew across the river, landed in a tree, and in a few more seconds flew up river. So I don 't know if the crawdad got eaten or not. I wonder, if it did get eaten if the crawdad went down head first or not?
