Hi all,

This morning I bicycled over to Luckiamute State Natural Area to do some
point counts, covering both the south unit (Vanderpool Tract) and north
unit (Luckiamute Landing) from 5:45 to 9:30.

Along with the expected riparian birds such as SWAINSON'S THRUSHES,
BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAKS, YELLOW WARBLERS, and WARBLING VIREOS. Around the
edges of the woods I heard three WILLOW FLYCATCHERS and one OLIVE-SIDED
FLYCATCHER; the latter was along the Luckiamute River about 200 yards
from the entrance to the Luckiamute Landing unit. I didn't hear any
Red-eyed Vireos, but it might be worth checking again in the warmer part
of the day.

Happy birding,
Joel
