I birded E.E. Wilson again this morning. In the NW corner marsh, I had
the Solitary Sandpiper again as well as a pair of Blue-winged Teal and
Several Cinnamon Teal. The shorebird numbers are starting to dwindle,
besides the Solitary Sandpiper I had 3 Dowitchers but didn't get good
enough looks to determine if any were Short-billed, 4 Spotted
Sandpipers, 1 Greater Yellowlegs and some Killdeer. I also had a couple
Band-tailed Pigeons fly over while riding my bike toward the marsh. I'm
not sure if anyone has already mentioned this because I am new to this
list but the shed to the south of the NW corner marsh has an active Barn
Owl nest in the box above the door.
