[birding] Oops, chalk one up to Calliope fever

Hi all,
Cancel yesterday's report of of a male Calliope Hummingbird at our
feeder!
I think I called that one too quick, since today I've been seeing a very
petite, green-backed male Rufous Hummingbird who has his gorget feathers
protruding at the sides of his neck -- giving the impression of a
Calliope-type gorget in a quick view.
I think this is the same bird as yesterday, since it looks similar in
all respects. Not your typical Rufous in terms of size & color. I guess
I should try for a good look at the tail feathers just in case it could
be a stray Allen's, but I think it's within the range of variation for
Rufous Hummingbird.
Happy birding,
Joel
