[birding] Another Calliope

Hi all,

Late this morning Becky and I saw a male CALLIOPE HUMMINGBIRD visiting
our feeder briefly (possibly more than once, as we haven't been watching
much). Three different birds in three days -- I'm starting to think
there's some merit to the idea of this being a good year for Calliopes
in the valley!

Today also brought our first singing YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT to our back
yard. I thought I heard a couple of call notes from a Willow Flycatcher
but couldn't be sure.

This was our first frost-free morning of May -- hope it keeps up so I
can finally take the row covers off our tomatoes etc. I just did some
hand-mowing in our prairie patch where the MEADOW CHECKERMALLOW is
starting to bloom.

Happy birding,
Joel
