Join the Natural Area's Celebration Week tomorrow for its next events of the week.
Saturday, May 8
9:30-11am Migratory Bird Day Walk at William L Finley NWR, with Rich Armstrong of the Audubon Society of Corvallis
Meet at the Prairie Overlook near the north entrance of the refuge with time for a stroll on the Homer Campbell Boardwalk prior to the Barn Tour. For a longer morning of birding ending at Finley, contact Rich Armstrong at 541-753-1978. Travel 10 miles south on 99W to a right on Finley Rd and a left on Finley Refuge Rd. to the Overlook parking area.

11-2pm Finley NWR Barns and Bluegrass by the Benton County Historical Society's Historic Preservation Month
11am- Tour of Feichter House with BA Beierle, and Cabell Barn with area farmer Frank Nusbaum.
12-1pm- Music, Bring-your-own Picnic, self-guided tours of Cabell Lodge and Granary Building
12-2pm- Blake Hoffman, Demonstration of horse-drawn sustainable forestry practices
1-2pm - Tom McAllister, ethnobiologist, presents Native American sustainable agriculture practices
2pm- Short presentation on the Big Barn from the Headquarters parking lot

2:30-4pm Woodpecker Loop Nature Walk
Join Native Plant Society's Esther McEvoy and Laurel Moulton on a guided hike of one of Finley's premier trails. This one mile loop is fun for all ages with many species of plants and wildlife to observe along the way. http://corvallis.npsoregon.org/
