Join the
Natural Area's Celebration Week tomorrow for its next events
of the week.
Following are detailed
descriptions of each activity and where to find us when.
Tuesday,
May 4
2-3pm Franklin School Neighborhood & Tree Tour
with Lyn Larson
Meet at Franklin
School East entrance under the pin oak for a stroll through the Franklin Square
Historic Neighborhood and to appreciate distinctive trees in our urban arboretum.
Franklin
School is located at 750 NW 18th St.
4-5:30pm Fitton Green Natural Area with Al
Kitzman from Benton County Natural Areas and Parks The tour will
include discussions on upland prairie ecosystems, restoration in support of
Fender's blue butterfly and maintaining oak woodlands. Meet at the

6-8pm
Sunset Park Wetland with Iris Benson from City
of Corvallis Parks and Rec Dept
Sunset
Park Wetland Mitigation site is over five acres of restored wetlands. The
tour will include discussion of site management, monitoring, restoration
efforts, and unique challenges on site. This site is great if you are
interested in invasive weed management, succession, and beaver. The site
is ADA accessible and easy to access for those with mobility issues.
Sunset Park is located at 45th and
