Herbert Farm and
Natural Area is 221 acres of city owned land along Mary's River. Herbert
Farm and Natural area is unique due to its location, rare habitats, and
cultural history as well as serving as a host to a number of rare plant and
animal species. We will tour part of Herbert Farm looking at on site
restoration opportunities and management issues. The site may be muddy so

6 pm–8 pm Owens Farm Evening Tour with Greenbelt Land Trust
Come walk with us during a pleasant evening tour at this significant
natural area in northwest Corvallis. The Greenbelt Land Trust purchased
the property in 2002 and has been actively restoring the wetland prairies,
riparian forests, and oak woodlands. Given a clear day, we might catch a
glimpse of the Cascade’s Three Sisters as we meander along the oaks. If
interested, meet us at the Greenbelt office for departure at 5:45 pm. We
are located at 101 SW Western Ave. Please dress appropriately. FMI,
call Steve Lilly’s cell at (541) 207-5529.
