That's a good article. In my experience Winter Wrens sing loudest and
longest when there is some competing noise. They even try to drown out
my husband's chainsaw when we're clearing trails. Apparently, the
loudest gets the girl, so it's no wonder that little wren in Seattle was
working so hard to be heard over buses and voices and barking dogs, and
a helicopter and train and truck.
