Hi Chris & All,

You can send a few of those Band-tails my way if you want. I still
haven't seen any this year.

However this morning we did have our first prospecting male HOUSE
SPARROW of the year, chirping away as if trying to establish a
territory. I sent him on his way but I'm sure he'll find a more
welcoming yard.

Re: Steve Seibel's comments about Rough-legged Hawks, I do get the
impression that numbers have thinned out a little more quickly than
usual this spring. But as Michael Dossett noted, there are still one or
two along Robison Rd near the National Guard rifle range. We didn't see
any during the field trip in Linn County yesterday.

Happy birding,
Joel
