Steven E. Carpenter, Ph.D.
"Wildflowers of Mary's Peak Meadows"
Tuesday, June 29
7:00 p.m. at Grass Roots
"Steve Carpenter, local author of Wildflowers of Marys Peak Meadows, will
give a presentation on Marys Peak wildflowers, its geology and botanical
history. This is for folks of all backgrounds, and you won't need to be a
wildflower expert to learn how wildflowers are named and classified, along
with information about the pioneer botanists who discovered them. At
4097 feet in elevation, Marys Peak is the highest peak in the Coast Range,
and its wildflowers can also be found on other Coast Range peaks in Oregon
and Washington."
