Hi all,

My daughter Martha and I took a noontime walk around E.E. Wilson
Wildlife Area today. Despite the late time of day and warm temperatures,
we heard many singing birds including a nice chorus of SWAINSON'S
THRUSHES, lots of BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAKS, and a few WARBLING VIREOS,
WILSON'S & ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLERS.

Youngsters seen in recent days included:

KILLDEER chicks fledged and nearly full grown today, just north of HQ;
BUSHTIT fledglings with parents SW of HQ on 10 Jun;
AMERICAN ROBIN juveniles with parents, spotted but otherwise full-grown,
in our neighbors' yard on 9 Jun.

Happy birding,
Joel
