Late migrants continue at Stewart Lake (HP) in Corvallis:
Willow Flycatcher - 2 "whitting"; one of them sang Fitz-Bew 4 or 5 times
Spotted Sandpiper - 1 at this non-breeding location (Prior late spring dates: 20 May, 2009; 8 May 2008; 23 May 2007; 22 May 2006)
Western Tanager - 1 singing
Others:
American Wigeon - pair still here, latest ever by far, no evidence of breeding. I suspect an injury, though nothing is apparent.
Cedar Waxwing - lots!
Evening Grosbeaks - still noted, but only a pair
No visible dragonflies today; there have been a few on warm days over the past month and a half (since April 22). Pacific forktail damselflies persist, first seen April 12th. If the weekend forecast holds, we could see lots of odonates soon!
