Hi Birders,

I biked out to Mt. Angel Abbey this afternoon. I found the male LAZULI
BUNTING at the base of the hill. It was singing and I think there was a
female hiding in some of the thicker vegetation so there may be a pair
breeding there. I also found the other species John mentioned except for
the Hermit Warblers (I'm not exactly sure where he saw them) and the
Bullock's Oriole. There also were 3 TURKEY VULTURES, 4 RED-TAILED HAWKS(I
think there is a pair breeding on the hill), 1 WILLOW FLYCATCHER, 1
CHESTNUT-BACKED CHICKADEE(the first individual of this species that I've
seen this year although I had heard 1 in February), a family of 3 DARK-EYED
JUNCOS 1 adult and 2 juveniles, and gobs and gobs of a GOLDFINCHES both
LESSER and AMERICAN.
