[birding] corvallis

i took a student out tuesday to north corvallis.
1. peavy arboretum
    a. PILEATED WOODPECKER
    b. few MACGUILLEVRAY'S WARBLERS
    c. many swainson's thrushes singing
    d. RED-BREASTED SAPSUCKER with young that had no red anywhere
2. tampico road
    a. no purple martins - must have all fledged and moved on
    b. heard 1 CHAT 
    c. heard 1 WRENTIT
    d. more MACGUILLEVRAY'S WARBLERS
3. mac-dunn trail off tampico
    a. posing LAZULI BUNTING, WESTERN TANAGER, BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAK - all in scope
    b. more MACGUILLEVRAY'S WARBLERS
4. adair park
    a. no acorn woodpeckers
    b. 1 WHITE-BREASTED NUTHATCH

today i took tristen out 
1. fitton green with gail andrews
    a. singing VESPER SPARROW
    b. CHIPPING SPARROWS with young
    c. white-crowned sparrows with young
    d. house wrens probably with young
2. lewisburg saddle west upper trail
    a. more MACGUILLEVRAY'S WARBLERS
    b. quite sure we heard 1 CASSIN'S VIREO
    c. couple HERMIT WARBLERS
