P.S. I neglected to mention a few interesting mammals seen along the
way, including one BOBCAT, an ELK that didn't want to yield the roadway
at Stop 35 (until I had to get out of the van and start counting), plus
another head giving alarm calls from a ravine below another stop, a
BLACK-TAILED DEER doe with a remarkably young fawn, and various
squirrels, chipmunks, and rabbits.
