The Red-shouldered Hawk continues to frequent Sunset Park. He was on the large snag directly over the boardwalk this morning around 10 when I walked over to see what was around. No Mergansers that I could see on the pond, just many Mallards and a few Widgeon. There were perhaps 25 or 30 Yellow-rumped Warblers flycatching in the trees along the creek. In the seedy, weedy area at the beginning of the boardwalk I saw a White-throated Sparrow in a group of White-crowneds. Anna's hummer buzzing nearby. No mergies over at the Starker Pond, either. DC Cormorant still hanging there with the trash ducks, and a large (40) crowd of Widgeon. Later, I saw the RSHA on a light pole from Technology Loop at the Nypro plant.
