[birding] Oodles of Canada Geese!

   Hi all,

 

    On the way to an appointment today traveling toward Walnut Blvd. on 53rd

    St., there were oodles of Canada Geese in the horse pasture west of the
OSU

    horse barns. They covered the entire field - I was running late or I
would

    have pulled off to check for different types.  I travel 53rd a lot, and
I

    don't think I've ever seen so many in that field before.  There were
some

    other smaller birds as well, but alas, couldn't stop. This was about
2:00

    p.m. I hope to see them again Fri.

    The only other bird of note for me today was a Pileated Woodpecker in an
Oak

    tree next to my driveway when I returned home.
