[birding] Short-eared Owl on Llewellen Rd.

Saw it about 3:30 p today (Saturday).  Just sitting on side of road in the
gravel next to fog stripe.  Flew short distances, landed in field not too
far from road, then flew across road and back again - sticking really close
to road.

 

WHERE EXACTLY:  West of RR and East of the Feed Plant with air strip.  There
is a post on the south side of road with a big orange cover (at a distance
looks like someone wearing bright orange rain gear): Owl was WEST of that.
There is a handy turnaround spot with culverts for the ditch on both sides
of the road to the West of orange post.  The owl was hanging out between the
orange thing and the turnaround.
