1. tristen & i headed south to work on our 2010 benton list. it did not rain!
2. philomath poo ponds had nothing unusual - just shovelers, coots, lesser scaup, ruddy, wigeon, bufflehead..
3. we did not find the black phoebe at finley hq.
4. we did find paula's LEWIS WOODPECKER just before the old hq.
5. there was 1 SNOW GOOSE with geese and ducks on the pond across from woodpecker loop.
6. the pond across from cabell entrance had 3 EURASIAN WIGEON and 1 gadwall.
7. cabell marsh had 1 EURASIAN WIGEON, about 110 DUNLIN resting on the logs, many tundra swans, a few cormorants, and 1 BALD EAGLE that showed us there were 1000 ducks way in the back that we didn't know about until the eagle got them all up.
8. the prairie overlook had 1 NORTHERN SHRIKE, 1 WHITE-TAILED KITE, and a rough-legged hawk among the harriers and redtails.
9. just past prairie overlook heading south was a posing PEREGRINE FALCON.
10. we looked for the black phoebe on corliss but no calls or sights.
11. we did a little of wilamette park but the river is so high there was nothing.
12. hp pond had excellent variety - 2 male CANVASBACK, 1 male COMMON MERGANSER standing on a log, 6 HOODED MERGANSERS including 2 males, the usual buffleheads, ring-necks, etc.
