Hello folks,
Today on a lunch-time walk I saw the YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER high in
its favorite walnut tree west of the gate at E.E. Wilson Wildlife Area
headquarters. Also, a HAIRY WOODPECKER was working the cottonwoods in
the pond by headquarters.
That poor lonely RING-NECKED PHEASANT is still trying to get into the
pheasant pens.
>From yesterday's walk, I forgot to mention a TOWNSEND'S WARBLER on
Coffin Butte, and also rustlings in the leaves that tell me that the
WESTERN FENCE-LIZARDS are active again.
Happy birding,
Joel
