Hi all,
Looks like Tuesday is the most likely D-Day for the arrival of the
freshly printed Willamette Valley Birding Trail guides, all 75,000 of
them!
We don't know exactly when they'll arrive at Cascade Pacific RC&D's
storage facility in Tangent. We expect to get a call from the trucker
once they're on the way, then we'll have to scramble.
The problem we're facing is that we can't get pallets inside the door of
the storage facility, so this is going to involve some manual labor.
Each box weighs 33 lbs., and we expect 592 of them.
We'll have a few hand trucks (dollies) to minimize the lifting, and we
have about ten volunteers right now who *might* be able to help on short
notice. Any more volunteers will help to make this more like fun, and
less like a chore!
The bonus if you help is that you'll be among the very *first* people to
see these trail guides, hot off the press ... and yes, you can take home
a few copies to share with your friends!
Please let me know if there's any chance that you'll be able to help on
Tuesday. Also, it would be good to have a phone number along with
e-mail.
Thanks!
Joel
