1. a small group of 5 did quite well on the corvallis audubon 1/2 day
field trip.
2. we began at hp/stewart lake with a good variety
    a. perched SHARP-SHINNED HAWK
    b. fairly close DOWNY WOODPECKER
    c. 7 CANVASBACK
    d. at least 1 and possibly 2 GREATER SCAUP among the lesser scaup
    e. a few wigeon
    f. a few coots
    g. a few ring-necked ducks
    h. a couple pied-billed grebes
    i. 1 cormorant
3. then it rained so we drove out to airlie road. on the way we had
    a. 70 DUSKY CANADA GEESE
    b. about 150 cackling geese
4. on airlie road west of d'armond (it stopped raining for rest of the
morning!!!!!!!!!!)
    a. at least 5 TRUMPETER SWANS (probably 10)
    b. 75 TUNDRA SWANS
    c. 200 cackling geese
    d. 3 harriers
5. on d'armond road farm pond
    a. 3 BALD EAGLE (all adults)
    b. 1 COMMON MERGANSER
    c. 3 pied-billed grebes
    d. 1 RIVER OTTER
6. robison road near polk line
    a. 5 ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS
    b. 2 WHITE-TAILED KITES
    c. heard meadowlarks singing - saw none
    d. 10 kestrals
    e. a few harriers
    f. maybe 10 red-tailed hawks
    g. 1 coyote
7. e e wilson. we walked out to look for swamp sparrow
    a. 1 RED-SHOULDERED HAWK  
    b. 1 brief look at SWAMP SPARROW
    c. 1 very injured and weak red-tailed hawk that was reported to us
by a jogger. since we had cmimtimini volunteers on the trip they rescued
the bird and we rushed it to chimtimini hopefully saving it's life
8. elliott sewage ponds
    a. lots of bufflehead including males in excellent light showing
their purples and greens
    b. lots of ring-necks, shovelers, lesser scaup (i did not see a
greater today)
    c. a couple wigeon
    d. maybe 10 green-winged teal
    e. 20+ EURASIAN-COLLARED DOVES
