Join the Natural Area's Celebration Week tomorrow for its first events of the week. Following are detailed descriptions of each activity and where to find us when.

Saturday, May 1st 
Two volunteer events to choose from: 
9am- 12pm Beazell Memorial Forest 
Join us as we finish off a trail built by volunteers over the past couple years at the beautiful Beazell Memorial Forest in Kings Valley. We will be reshaping trail tread and applying gravel to make this trail pleasant year-round. This trail skirts the south meadow, an area of upland prairie habitat restoration activities, which will be shown on a tour later in the week.
Meet at 8:30 A.M. at the Wilkinson Hall parking lot, diagonally across from the Monroe Beanery. We will carpool from there, returning to Corvallis in the early afternoon. Wear sturdy shoes, bring work gloves, water, and snacks. All tools will be provided. For more information contact margiepowell at comcast.net. OR
9am – 12pm Lupine Meadows Restoration Workday
Please join us for a morning of removing woody shrubs and invasive blackberries in a prairie that is home to several native plants including Kincaid’s lupine, Checkermallow and Willamette daisy. We will provide tools, water and snacks. Please wear long sleeves, gloves and sturdy footwear. Meet at the Greenbelt Land Trust office at 9 am for departure. 2-4pm Witham Hill Natural Area with Friends of Witham Oaks 
This easy walk in the woods close to home is a good opportunity to learn about threats to oak ecosystems within the city limits. Meet at the Witham Hill Natural Area parking lot at the west end of Circle, south of Witham Hill Drive.
