Greetings,
The Sustainability Coalition's Natural Area's team is looking for volunteers for the upcoming events the first week of May. Please click on the link below to sign up for any of the hikes as a birder, botanist or all around naturalist. We're hoping for a large turnout at many of these guided hikes and would like to point out specialty species, both native and invasives to watch out for, to people unfamiliar with our surrounding flora and fauna.
Our greatest hope for this event is to encourage community members to volunteer for future restoration efforts by educating them on why these areas are important for several sensitive species in our region.
Because we chose not to limit the group size, it would be great to have extra naturalists available so that no one has to lead too large a crowd. We expect that the evening and weekend hikes will attract more people than the day hikes during the week. At the beginning of each event, there will be an overview from the main trip leader/resource manager, and if the group is large enough, we'll split into smaller teams to lead around the area so it will be easier for all to hear and learn about our amazing plants and wildlife.

Individual events are listed in the comments below the doodle survey, and expanded descriptions in the files of the doodle survey.
The official event website is http://sustainablecorvallis.org/naturaareasactionteam
Please pass this on to others who may be interested in sharing some of their natural knowledge, it's going to be an exciting week full of wildflowers, butterflies, and migratory birds in full "bloom".
Thanks so much,
Molly Monroe
