Hi Birders,

I finally biked to the Mt. Angel Sewage ponds. There were 20 CANADA GEESE (there was a pair with 8 goslings) 2 BLUE-WINGED TEAL, around 10 CINNAMON TEAL, 15 MALLARDS, 30 GREEN-WINGED TEAL, 10 WOOD DUCKS, 10 NORTHERN SHOVELERS, 5 AMERICAN WIGEONS, 5 RING-NECKED DUCKS, 50 LESSER SCAUPS, 30 BUFFLEHEADS, 10 AMERICAN COOTS, 1 VIRGINA RAIL (I acually got to see it walk across a path!!), 5 KILLDEER, 3 LEAST SANDPIPERS, 1 NORTHERN FLICKER, 1 BARN SWALLOW, 10 MARSH WRENS, 10 AUDUBON'S YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS, 2 COMMON YELLOWTHROATS, 2 SPOTTED TOWHEES, 10 SAVANNAH SPARROWS, 4 SONG SPARROWS, 5 WHITE-CROWNED SPARROWS (1 with more then average white in the crown) 20 GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW and 50 RED-WINGED BLACKBIRDS.

On a side note there has been a flock of EVENING GROSBEAKS visiting my yard off and on for the past week and yesterday there was a BAND-TAILED PIGEON calling from different points in the neighborhood.
