Hi again all,
Since 3 PM I've heard three flocks of GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE flying
over, very high. I finally got a look at the third flock just now and
estimated about 550. They've been flying above the ridge line (Tampico
Ridge) rather than straight over E.E. Wilson Wildlife Area about 1/5
mile to the east, like they do in most years.
While glassing this flock I saw some swallows feeding very high up and
was hoping for Black Swifts, but no such luck.
Happy birding,
Joel
