[birding] Mountain Quail?

Hello,

I was riding my bike on Riverside Drive and I heard a Mountain Quail. It
was across the road from Twin Oaks Memorial Garden cemetery. Couldn't see
it because it was beyond the thickets. It wasn't the single note call
California Quail make nor a starling. I listen for a little while. I can't
explain why, it's far from its normal habitat. Maybe a captive bird?
