We also had WESTERN KINGBIRDS at the Finley Prairie Overlook this morning (in trees very near the parking area). They've nested in north and middle prairie in the last few years. The LEWIS' WOODPECKER was also spotted today near the fire road south of Bald Top.

Subject: [birding] westen kingbird
A short visit for some successful flycatching from a prominent dead-top birch in the neighbor's yard in NW Corvallis. The kingbird worked the perch until the local scrubbers ganged up on it and forced it to keep on moving along.
