[birding] California Gulls Silverton, Marion County

Hi Birder,

I was outside with my sister this afternoon and the two of us heard some 
gulls calling.  She said, "There are some gulls calling."
I said, "They must be coming from the television." since gulls in the 
Silverton area are a rarity ( this is only the third time I've seen gulls in 
the Silverton area and I've lived here 16 years).  But the television was 
turned off so we raced off in the direction of the sound and low and behold 
there was a flock of ~50 CALIFORNIA GULLS circling on a thermal off to the 
south-west.  We got to watch the gulls for about 2 minutes before 
disappeared off the north-east.  So thanks to my sister I got yard bird 
species #72 and motorless birding bird #89.
