Hi all,

Four CHESTNUT-BACKED CHICKADEES turned up in the cherry trees on the
south side of our yard today. We only see this species in our yard once
or twice a year, and usually just as single birds. They're resident in
conifer forest within a few hundred yards, just seldom stray out of
their preferred habitat.

The COMMON CAMAS and MEADOW CHECKERMALLOW in our prairie restoration
patch are budding and should bloom any day now. The native IRIS is
blooming now.

Happy birding,
Joel
