Oddly enough, we had one on the coast on Saturday during the Pacific City Birding and Blues Festival. It was hovering/hunting over some of the pasture units of the Nestucca Bay NWR.

Other highlights of the weekend included our first Barn Swallow of the year, Northern Rough-Winged Swallows, Marbled Godwit, and Blue-winged Teal (not to mention the duskys and Aleutian geese using the area with one Ross' mixed in there). On the ocean we spotted all three scoter species, gray whales and had several wrentit surround us with little growls coming from the dense shrubs.
Nice sunny weekend!
