1. this saturday april 10 is the Audubon Society of Corvallis monthly second Saturday Bird Watching 1/2 day field trip.
2. Meet at Benton Center 757 NW Polk Ave at 7:30 AM to carpool (the back left parking lot way behind borders).
3. Bring Binoculars, water, and sturdy shoes for the walk along a local birding trail.
4. i will be leading.
5. i scouted twice this week and found no birdy place at all. the best suggestion i got was to go to fern ridge where there is probably still a tufted duck and where there are shore birds. now it takes almost an hour to get to royal ave and an hour to get back (that is why i do a full day trip there in the fall) so to do it and get back by noon really only leaves 2 hours of birding. if everyone is willing to plan on getting back at 1 pm i think it could work well. so think about that.
6. if everyone is willing to get back at 1 pm we may go to fern ridge. if not, then we will do something local and be back by noon.
7. weather forcast so far looks excellent with supposedly no chance of rain.
8. so come join corvallis audubon for a birding morning.
