Hi Birders,
I decieded to take advantage of the nice weather and do some motorless birding. There were 4 species of Swallows at the ponds at the end of Quarry Ave. At least 1 maybe 2 NORTHERN ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOWS, 50 TREE SWALLOWS, 50 VIOLET GREEN SWALLOWS, and at least 3 CLIFF SWALLOWS. Other highlights were a couple of AMERICAN GOLDFINCHES in breeding plumage, 1 singing LINCOLN'S SPARROW, and 5 WILSON'S SNIPE.
It was nice to have some nice weather today but it looks like the weather is taking a turn for the worse tomorrow.
