[birding] Swifts

Last  night my son and I were heading north on 1st St in downtown Corvallis right about dusk when I noticed several people looking up. I remembered the swifts, so we stopped and watched. A flock of maybe 1000-2000 swifts were circle and swirling over the hotels on 2nd Street. Once they formed a very nice vortex. Then all at once they dropped into a chimney that we could not see from our vantage point, all gone within a short time. Very cool.
