[birding] night heron

1. nanette & i made our 4th trip to bruce road in search of a possible night heron. this time we walked all the way out the trail from the bridge parking area and back without success. but back at the road the immature BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT HERON flushed from somewhere south of the bridge and flew around the corner toward the trees. it was not a great look, but definitely the bird. that's twice this week we have had success on a 4th try.
2. also saw 2 green herons, 1 red-shouldered hawk, 2 least sandpipers, and the normal stuff.
3. 2 days ago there were no swallows there and tonight there were hundreds of barn swallows.
