[birding] south corvallis

gail andrews and i took a dutch birder around south corvallis today.
1. philomath sewage ponds
    a. tons of shovelers
    b. good numbers of american wigeon and coots
    c. a few ring-necked ducks and a few lesser scaup
    d. 1 ruddy duck
    e. 2 pied-billed grebes
    f. golden-crowned & white-crowned sparrows
    g. a couple lesser goldfinches and big flock of american goldfinches
    h. lots of red-winged blackbirds
    i. 1 meadowlark
2. bruce road
    a. 1 horned lark is all we found in the big field and a couple pipits flew over
    b. about 8 great egrets at mcfaddin
    c. at least 3 marsh wrens
    d. lots of acorn woodpeckers and waxwings near the 1st house going west
3. cabell marsh only from gazebo - no pelicans or eagles seen
4. about 10 wood ducks from bridge on hq road
5. normal lots of red-tailed hawks and kestrals and a few harriers
