1. i stopped by the elliott sewage ponds (behind knoll terrace trailer park) on way back from albany. 
2. there were about 200 ducks there today!
    1 COMMON GOLDENEYE (female)
    20+ HOODED MERGANSERS (4 MALES)
    15 BUFFLEHEAD (6 MALES)
    2 LESSER SCAUP
    150 RING-NECKED DUCKS (i tried to find a tufted but not there)
    10 SHOVELERS
    10 GREEN-WINGED TEAL
    and at least 10 mallards as well
    1 coot
    1 great egret
    1 kingfisher
3. they have mowed down all of the great sparrow brush - no idea why.
