Hello birders,
I just got my new BUSHNELL H2O binoculars yesterday so I decided to go
on a little walk around the lake again.
On land my first bird was RED-BREASTED SAPSUCKER in a pine tree, also
in the pine tree were BLACK-CAPPED CHICKADEE and RUBY CROWNED KINGLET.
Along the fence line in the brush was a BEWICK'S WREN. Also in the
brush were SPOTTED TOWHEE, SONG SPARROW and BUSHTIT. As I walked on, I
saw a pair of YELLOW- RUMPED WARBLER (AUDUBON). Also in the field were
AMERICAN PIPIT.
As I move down to the water a I see AMERICAN COOT and the very rare
MALLARD. As I look harder PIED-BILLED GREBE and DOUBLE -CRESTED
CORMARANT.
In the marshy brush I saw GREEN HERON and a VIRGINIA RAIL which was very cool.
COMMON MERGANSER also were diving in the lake.
It was a very good day
