Hi all,

Will's posting of Red-shouldered Hawk and Great Horned Owl inspired me to go to
Starker Arts Park this morning at 9:30 (Standard Time). No hawks were calling
but I did see a Red-breasted Sapsucker near the child care place. At the pond to the
east, a Double crested Cormorant hung out with the Mallards and one American Wigeon.
A very cooperative Wilson's Snipe was basking in the sun across the creek north of the boardwalk trail. Also seen there were 5 female Hooded Mergansers, Belted Kingfisher, Great Egret, and as I turned back to the parking lot, a Red-shouldered
Hawk swooped by and landed in a tree. A life bird for me, pretty good morning!

Pam
