[birding] a grand bunch

For a day of wet green wind surprisingly numerous hot bits of featherd color are flashing around outside my office window. I have been visited by flamed western tanager, sunbits (in decreasing warmth) American goldfinch, yellow warbler, Wilson's warbler, lesser goldfinch, house finch, robin, chipping sparrow, and - colder colored but vibrant with spring - western bluebird, crow, and violet-green swallow. A constant movement and chatter that belies the soggy bluster and abundant showers.
