[birding] Black-headed Grosbeaks, Spotted Sandpiper

5-3-09 Corvallis
We ran some errands on the bikes today and squeezed some looks at birds and wildflowers in-between destinations.
Sunset Park: Spotted Sandpiper. If weren't for an angry Red-winged Blackbird who was inexplicably chasing the sandpiper, we might have not noticed it.
Marys River Natural Park: Black-headed Grosbeaks, several singing.
Downtown Riverfront: An adult Bald Eagle went soaring by but had to fly away to avoid harassment of a determined Osprey.
Everywhere: American Goldfinches singing, singing and more singing.
