Hello folks,

Yesterday (26 Mar) while weeding some of the non-native grasses that are
still dominant in our front-yard prairie restoration, I heard a COMMON
YELLOWTHROAT singing from the blackberry & rose thickets just across the
highway in E.E. Wilson Wildlife Area. Soon they'll be singing
everywhere, I suppose. Orange-crowned Warblers are due any day now, but
I haven't heard one yet.

CAMAS is starting to send up leaves. but no flower buds yet.

Happy birding,
Joel

P.S. Speaking of camas, I went by OfficeMax by the OSU credit union off
NW 9th St in Corvallis yesterday, and noticed that the construction
project on the old camas field behind OfficeMax seems to have stalled.
If anyone knows what the status is, please let me know (preferably with
a direct e-mail, since this is getting off-topic for the birding
list ... though maybe appropriate for the naturalist list).
