Birds that are back-
Saw my first hummers that were back, away from our home where they've been
all winter. This one was at the end of the Homer Campbell Memorial Boardwalk
at Finley.

Saw two ospreys Saturday- one off in the distance from Belfountain Road on
the way to Finley- and one much closer on Finley Rd. about a half mile from
Hwy. 99.

off with fish-

one gives you a good look at the fish too.
No photos this time, but I did see many turkey vultures near Hwy 34 and I-5,
while I was searching for the eagles that Steve Seibel reported (which I did
find). Forgot to mention that last time.
Not a seasonal thing, but this is my nominee for 'Most Painful Perch'- is
this a chipping sparrow?

Steve, your hang gliding photos of the immature eagle are incredible! You
have to tell us more about how these encounters occur! What altitude were
you at? And where?

PS: I forgot to remove my signature which seems to wipe out the rest of the
email- so here's a re-send.
