[birding] Mandarin ducks

Just wanted to comment about the delight in seeing Mandarin ducks. Five
years ago in Iceland, I had the good fortune to horse pack into the
extreme northeastern corner of the country to the coast. Imagine how
thrilled I was when, after a full day of riding, to arrive at our
destination, a cabin perched over a protected cove, to identify a raft
of approximately 200 Mandarin ducks! Sally Shaw
